The number 9 is called the number of completion. It has mathematically some unique characteristics, as it tend to repeat itself when multiplied (example: 4 x 9 = 36; 3 + 6 add up to 9) and preserves the original number value when added to other numbers (example: 7 + 9=16; 1+6=7). It thus maintains its own value and that of others.
In this sense it embodies selflessness and universal awareness, all planets, the element of fire, the month of September, the letters I and R and psychedelic and bright pastel shades of all colors.
Its qualities are pure selflessness, fulfillment of self by giving of self, universality in viewpoint and personal approach, universal understanding of all things and people and of all interrelations, viewing life without prejudice, love and compassion for all people and living things, brother and sisterhood, love of wo/mankind based on an understanding of the human condition, tolerance and forgiveness, generosity and benevolence, humanitarian approach, accomplished artist and thinker who is inspired by universal truth; highly emotional approach to the ultimate romantic ideal; impersonal and just, sacrifice of self for mankind.
Its shadow is selfishness, personal irresponsibility for universal conditions, indulgence to extremes and extravagance with emotions, time, energy and money, vulgarity, destructive sentimentality, being easily cornered, bitterness and unreasonable blaming of others, fickle, scattering of emotions and affection, extreme waste.
On this page I include designs based on the numbers 23 and 34 which reduce to 5 and 7 respectively and are at their core the primenumbers 23 and 17 (x 2 = 34).
